Product Ambassador Programs

I have really been getting into product ambassador programs.  What is that, you ask?  Many different websites and companies provide you with products to try out.  When you have finished your trial, you write reviews and talk with others about your experiences, both good and bad.  In some situations, you share your products with others as well.

The first program I got into was as a Boogie Wipes Saline Ambassador.  This is my second quarter participating in the program, and I love it!  I get a big box of Boogie Wipes, Kandoo Products, coloring sheets, and coupons.  I get to host a party with the products, give away full size product packages, and offer samples to the wonderful people in my community.  Each person I give a sample to will take a survey about the product and be registered to win a big package of Boogie Wipes for themselves!  It has been wonderful getting the news about this product out to others.

House Party, the second program I've joined, provides you with different products and has you hosting a party in exchange for full size products for yourself and sample size products  for your guests.  This site offers you different products you can choose from, so there are many opportunities to try new things.  You get to host a party on the same day as others across the country.  What a fun way to spread word about products available!

Another program that I just joined (yesterday, as a matter of fact!) is smiley360.    This one is a bit different than the other two.  There are no party's for you to host.  Just complete a questionnaire for each product you are interested in, and if you qualify, you will be asked to join a "mission".  When you receive your product, share your thoughts (and samples, coupons, etc. if provided) with your friends and family.  Then, go to smiley360 and write a review.  The more people you talk to about the product and the more you review, the more smiley faces you get.  And the more smiley faces you get, the more "missions" you can sign up for.

The final (so far) program that I have  signed up for is the Moms Meet group.

"Mom's Meet is an online resource that empowers moms
to come together in an informal  setting. Moms meet
in local groups to talk about the latest on raising
healthy families and living green, and are offered
opportunities to sample green products and share
      their opinions."*

As an ambassador, I will be responsible for leading meetings and discussions about the product I received, and provide sampling for all those who are in attendance.  I have not received word yet if I have been selected, but I am hoping to find out soon!

I am slowly finding more opportunities to be program ambassadors, and/or write reviews.  But if I don't find any more, I am happy with those companies who have given me the opportunity to participate!

Thankvember 18 ~ TV

TV is an excellent babysitter.  Yes, I said it.

Ever have one of those days when your toddler won't let you accomplish anything?  Or your older kids are in your hair?  Yup.  Me too.  So, I use it for a babysitter.  Does that make me a bad mom?  Not by any means.  TV is great.  We watch it too.  It is an excellent source of entertainment.  And yes, a great babysitter.  I am so thankful for TV!

Thankvember 17 ~ Electricity

"Mom, the electricity is out.  Now what are we going to do?"

Ever hear that?  I do, every once in a while.  Not so much now, but before they started putting lines underground, electricity would go out every storm, and lots during the winter.

Electricity is something most of us take for granted, myself included.  We function with electricity.  We make our food with electricity.  Shower with electricity.  See with electricity.  You name it, we do it with electricity.

Could we live without electricity?  Sure, but it would be hard. And sometimes, life threatening.  My husband uses a CPAP machine while he sleeps due to his sleep apnea (along with numerous other relatives of his), and if there is no electricity, then there is no machine use.  Hospitals and nursing homes would not be able to function without electricity.  That was just seen first hand because of Hurricane Sandy, which wiped out the hospital's electricity, and all patients had to be transferred to other hospitals.

Having no electricity (the few times it has happened) drove me nuts.  Not only for me, but for my kids complaining there was nothing to do.  I am so thankful for electricity, it keeps my kids out of my hair!  lol

Thankvember 16 ~ Great friends

Growing up, I was teased a lot.  I didn't have many friends, but I did have a few people whom I considered friends.  After high school, we went our separate ways, and I met new friends while attending the local college.  I found out quickly the difference between college friends and high school friends.  There was no baggage when I met these people.  I wasn't judged on my past.  I was free to be who I wanted to be, and not pretend to be someone else.

Over the years of working, I have also met many wonderful people and have become close friends. We can tell each other anything.  And if we haven't spoken in a while, we can start up right where we left off, like there was never any time between us.  A good friend is hard to find, and though it took me several years to find them, I am so thankful that I have great friends!!

Thankvember 15 ~ Food

I am thankful for food.  We don't have much, but we do have what we need.  I am so thankful that God provides us with this basic need.  So many people, whether they are in our country or not, can't get enough food for themselves or their family. I would be extremely saddened if I wasn't able to provide food for my family.  I don't mean extravagant items like high priced, "designer" foods, but things that are needed to live: meat, fruit, vegetables. Foods that provide proper nutrition.  Thanks for food!

Thankvember 14 ~ My parents

What would life be like without parents?  I know many of you have had to experience that.  I have not, and i am so thankful that I have my wonderful parents!
My parents with all the grandkids, taken 1 year ago.
My mom and I would always butt heads growing up.   I thought my mom  never wanted me to do anything, and tried to keep me at home.  I was wrong.  I left on not so great terms, but after moving away, we slowly got to know each other again. After I had kids, I suddenly knew how she was feeling.  We have worked things out, and now are great friends!

My dad and I always got along well.   When my mom and I were fighting, he would be there afterward to let me know everything was fine.  He was a great source of laughter as well.  I remember spending time with my dad and listening to old country music.

Great times were had, even though I may not have always understood!  Thanks so much to my parents!

Thankvember 13 ~ Sunlight!

There is definite beauty in sunrises and sunsets.  God paints them every day for us to awe over.  But there is a purpose to the sun and the sunlight, and I am thankful that we can enjoy sunlight!

Sunlight can bring a smile to my face on a day that has been dreary. Sunlight can make me feel warm inside when the day is cold.  It heats me up from the inside out.  Of course, there are added medical benefits to having sunlight, and sunlight also aids in growth of plants.  It brings light into an otherwise dark area.  It gives us new hope.
